Some of My Favorite Tunes of the 80's~

I grew up in the 1980's and 1990's and love the music from both eras.  I really wanted to share some of my favorite songs/music videos from the 80's.

I also like to refer to most of the music of the 80's- especially a lot of the "one hit wonders" to be the, "Second British Invasion"- the first being The Beatles in the 60's, then in the 80's many of the groups, especially new wave in particular, consisted of very talented British bands.

The first song is called "Human" and is by the group "The Human League"  Is this one of your favs?

I am such a fan of the singer Sting and the group he was in called, "The Police."
One of my favorite songs is, "Wrapped Around Your Finger"~

Another favorite group of mine is "Tears For Fears" and the video below is one of their hits, "Everybody Wants To Rule The World"

The Cars hit, "Just What I Needed" is one of my favorite new wave 80's songs(okay okay so technically this song came out in 1978 BUT in my opinion, was way ahead of its time- so just let me include this song on my 80's list...lol)...check out the video below:

Another new wave tune that some people are not familiar with is the song, "Send Me An Angel" by the group "Real Life"  I LOVE LOVE this song and this video- love the whole Beauty and the Beast theme.  And mist....every 80's music video, especially the hair band one's HAD to have mist! ;-)

Who can forget the song, "Beds Are Burning" by the Aussie group, "Midnight Oil"- it's one of my all time favorite "New Wave" 80's songs!

I have loved David Bowie since I was a kid.  To hear of his passing broke my heart.  I couldn't believe I didn't have one of my favorite 80's songs of his on here!  "Let's Dance!  Put on your red shoes and dance the blues...."

Of course I have to include "The Reflect" by Duran Duran.  One of my favs, so much energy- and I can't believe that the lead singer still sounds the same to this day!
